When it comes to social media, I would have to say that Instagram is my favourite platform. I love scrolling through inspiring photos without the overcrowding and extra clutter that sometimes tires me out on Facebook and Twitter!
The trick, of course, is to follow the right people, individuals who share uplifting and thought-provoking pictures which make me want to be a better photographer. Here are a few of my favourites:
Will Burrard-Lucas (@WILLBL)
Will is a professional wildlife photographer from the UK in love with Africa. He is also the founder of Camtraptions, a company specialising in remote-control cameras and camera traps for wildlife photography. Will uses technology and innovation to capture wild moments in new ways.
Peter Chadwick (@PETERIANCHADWICK)
Peter is the founder of African Conservation Photography and takes exquisite photos coupled with meaningful captions and a strong conservation focus.
Gloria mora (@GLORIA_MORA_G)
Gloria takes beautiful portraits, many of them are of African people. I love that they feel so real and unaffected, faces and eyes really can say a million things.
Adrian Steirn (@ADRIANSTEIRN)
Follow the life of photojournalist and filmmaker Adrian Steirn, a phenomenal artist and story-teller. Adrian’s work reflects a deep concern for the plight of African wildlife and also celebrates the beauty of the human spirit.

James and his team (@blackbeanproductions) spend a lot of time on filming assignments in the African bush. I’m continually inspired by the way they find meaning in all they do, spreading awareness of the lives of people and wildlife, with tremendous sensitivity, honesty and beauty.
